It’s is absolutely outstanding.
I have tasted hundreds of Single Malts over the years and actually helped create our city’s first tasting society. I am personally spreading the word that this expression and its flavour profile is the best “Sweet Sherry/Port + Peat” bottling I have tasted outside of Scotland. In fact I put it up against Bunnahabhain “Toiteach A Dha” and was surprised when I preferred your Macaloneys.
I visited the distillery and tasted many of your bottlings all were top notch but for me the Port finish was top of my list.

I was pleasantly surprised by the peat and the true Scotch whisky flavour- I suspect many Scotch whisky aficionado's would be unable to distinguish this whisky from an Islay Whisky. I am now truly looking forward to trying more Canadian Whisky’s. I am a happy camper - a superb effort keep at it!
It may just be my favourite single malt. Well balanced smoke with a nice rich sweatness.

This is one of my favourites from Macaloney. I love PX ,and with the smoke on it the taste for me is complex and friendly. A great sipping whisky. Savour and enjoy neat. Warm it in your hand before sipping. Gulping this down would be a disservice to yourself.
Delicious
This compares favourably to the Laphroaig PX cask, but you can get it without having to go to a duty free store, and it's better value. Recommended for those who like a little sweet with their peat.
Smooth with a pleasant after taste that has you wishing you had a bit more in your glass.

This may be my new favourite whiskey of all time. In the past when I’ve tried peated whiskeys, it has made me feel like I’m drinking barbecue sauce. But with its dry finish (as said in the description) this whiskey tastes more like a campfire - something you might sip while out in the woods contemplating the beauty of nature. Not too smoky, not too sweet, just right.
Have yet to try the peat project, I can just imagine the taste as great as all the others that are out out bythe grand master of Whisky.
