Landlocked and lawless. A peated single malt raised in Bordeaux Sauternes casks and named for the Canadian tall tale of a busted prairie farmer who traded his plough for a pirate's flag. No ocean required.

The nose opens with campfire smoke and warm wood ash over honeyed apricot, orange marmalade and candied citrus. The creamy, Sauternes-sweet palate builds through dried apricot, sultanas and barley sugar with a curl of peat smoke, while cut grass and dry prairie hay lift the middle. It finishes long and gently smoky, with clover honey, toasted almond and a whisper of salt.

Featuring distillery-smoked Washington peat.
