About this experience

This is Macaloney's signature tour, an intimate, fully guided whisky education experience for up to 8 guests. You'll follow Pete the Marmot through every stage of whisky production, from raw barley and live peat smoke all the way to a guided tasting flight and a complimentary pint.

3 guided whisky tastings: Truth Serum single malt, Triple Take triple-distilled, and Bang Sauce peated red wine cask. If you're lucky, maybe even a taste of our "clear"!

YOUR ITINERARY

 

1. The Grain & the Peat | 12 min

Hold raw and peated barley in your hands. Watch a live peat fire lit outdoors and breathe in the same smoke that flavours our whisky. Meet Pete at his first mural, singed whiskers and all.

2. The Barrel Room | 15 min

Step into the maturation rooms and breathe in the Angels' Share. Play the Weird & Wonderful tasting game, guess the tasting notes on a mystery cask and compare against our Master Whisky Maker's. Optionally, pour your own 375ml bottle straight from the cask for $50.

3. Fermentation (Catwalk View) | 8 min

Head up to the catwalk and look down into the washbacks where sugar becomes alcohol. Hear the story of Graeme's secret second yeast strain, known to exactly two people on earth.

4. The Copper Pot Stills | 12 min

Stand next to our hand-forged Forsyth stills from Speyside, Scotland. Learn how we take the narrowest cut in the industry. Your first tasting: Truth Serum single malt, poured right here.

5. The Distillery Bar | 13 min

Receive your Glencairn glass. Taste Triple Take (Canada's first triple-distilled single malt) and Bang Sauce (peated red wine cask). Claim your complimentary pint, settle in, and browse the shop.
