Cath-nah-aven pays homage to the great sherried whiskies from the banks of the river Spey. 

Our award-winning Vancouver Island distilled classic single malt is carefully crafted in premium Spanish Oloroso and Spanish Pedro Ximenex casks from Andalucia, Spain.  Married by our Master Whiskymaker, using local British Columbia malted barley, this whisky reveals a complex red-berry, plum, and oak nose, enhancing the fruit, floral, and sea-breeze notes of our new-make.

On the palate, this classic single malt offers a rich sherried body with a creamy mouthfeel. Sherried fruit cake, plums, and raisins are complemented by tannins and oakwood spices, yielding to a background of juicy malt barley.

This finish is long and complex, with a hint of sea salt befitting our island location and a symphony of diverse flavours, inviting personal exploration.
